Up until recently I have preferred to use traditional words for prayers and words from the Bible. To me they are more resonant and uplifting.

Saying 'Our Father who art in Heaven' seems to suggest a proper distance between me and my Maker.

But in recent days I have been trying the contemporary language of 'Our Father in Heaven'

I dont think it changes my relationship with God but the language just feels a little less cluttered and straightforward.

I am sure I will in the end use both. What do you think?
