Making Sunday Special,

An ecumenical group encouraging families and friends to come along to one of the churches in Helmsley, on the third Sunday of the month, for an afternoon of fun and fellowship.

The afternoon begins at 3pm with the activity planned, followed by refreshments, then a time for reflection with a song and prayer.

Our main thought behind this, is to  let you all know that ALL ARE WELCOME into our churches. It might be that you have never been to Church and would like to, - you might be unsure of how people will welcome you. It might be you have your own memories of being at Church and want to see if what we do works for your children.  You may just want some company with like minded people. There are many reasons why Making Sunday Special could be just the service for you.

Our first year has been a full programme of fun,  we have explored Disney, with a fancy dress competition, we looked at the Goodies and Baddies of Pantomine and bible to tie in with the Helmsley in Business annual Christmas Tree festival,  We held a Christingle at christmas and even held our first pet service this summer.

The Programme for 2016/2017 is now decided,  we have included a varitey of activities, and do hope you will come along and join us for some of these dates
